Hey all, my current weight is 130 pounds and my goal is to put on 15 to 20 pounds on in the next year. I've been eating about 5 meals a day and drinking to protein shakes that make up 1200 calories of my intake and I'm still not putting on any weight at all, its been about 3 weeks. Whats a guy got to do to gain weight, I work out every second day low reps heavy weight, do all the execrises that promote weight gain and nothing. I'm sick of being 130.

Eat more. If you're getting 2600 cals now (you should be getting at least that) and still not gaining, eat 3000. If that doesn't work, 3500. Get some weight gainer, eat some steak. Up your daily meals to 8 and eat every 2 hours if you have to. GO to Mack Donald's and get some double cheeseburgers. Just eat.

it's all about the food. keep eating. and then eat some more.

When I get to the point I'm eating 500 calories over my regular intake when should I start seeing results?

As soon as you get 500+ above maintenance, you should start gaining weight.

You are not gaining weight because you are not consuming enough calories, period, end of story.

If you truly wish to gain weight you need to dramatically up your caloric intake. Here is a link to an article I wrote which should be of some help:
