Gday all... food combining is basically not mixing carbs and protein at the same meals cause apparently it wrecks the way ur stomach digests the food... does anyone know about this, specifally has anyone ever tried it and got better results in the gym?

cheers

Um...most foods have carbs, fat, and protein in them. Unless you plan to eat strictly bread and powder, it would be hard to seperate them. Eat meals with some of everything in it. When you break it down and get complex, people will tell you certain times to eat extra carbs(such as post workout) or protein or fats. As far as I know, there is no reason to seperate them though.

I've heard of not mixing carbs and fats together, but I've never heard about not mixing carbs and protein together.

carbs break down better in an alkaline environment

protein breaks down better in an acidic environment

then the pencilnecks recommend eating them spearately

I think it's great to eat balanced meals FPC

unless you have a condition like Candida and then the protein can cause the carbs to ferment due to extra time spent in the stomach
