View Full Version : Need Help with my nutrition

I feel like I need to put more effort into my eating habits to really get the results I want. I am looking to cut my body fat %. I do not want to lose weight but I would like to change my body chemistry some. My New Years resolution has been to eat better. I am trying to cut down on my carbs, increase my lean protein, and trying to stay away from fast food, pizza, and fried foods in general. Currently I am eating three meals a day breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a snack around 3 before I hit the gym at 5. My question is what type of meals should I be looking to eat, and how many?

I am not taking any supplements currently.
My current meal Plan as of 010104
Breakfast is normally a Power Bar.
Lunch is a Turkey and Cheese Sandwich + a yogurt.
Snack is normally a granola bar.
Dinner is some type of Lean protein and vegetables (I am normally starving by this point and I eat a spoon of peanut butter before I get done cooking dinner.)

not gonna do it

I would set a goal to get 150 g's of protein daily

(you could go way over that but I would start there)

buy a food scale so you know what your meats are, everybody thinks a big chicken breast is 40g's of protein but whey you start weighing things it's really surprising

the next goal would be to start eating breakfast

for post w/0 I would get a minnimum 50 grams of liquid carbs and 20 grams of protein
