View Full Version : I think I'm on the right path..

First, I'll state my goals. I'd like to get up to about 195 by May and then cut down to like 185-187 for some definition. I'm currently floating around 184-185.

Please critique my diet.. this is pretty much what I eat on any given day.

Meal 1:
4 eggs
1 cup of oats in 1 cup of milk
banana or some other fruit
8 oz OJ

Meal 2:
1 can chicken breast
PB bread with about 3 TB PB
12 oz. milk

Meal 3:
1 can tuna (I try to substitute something for this every other day) with 3 TB salsa
12 oz milk
8 oz.OJ

Meal 4:
This is usually a homecooked meal by mom, well balanced with some kind of chicken/meat, grains (noodles) and veggies. Probably a 800-1000 calorie meal for me. 12 oz milk

Meal 5:
4 egg whites
.5 cup-1 cup of grains left over from dinner
8 oz. OJ

I usually have another glass of milk and some kind of high carb snack before I go to bed. I also try to drink a quart of water during workout and several glasses throughout the day.

According to fit day I have a 40%/30%/30% split with about 210 grams of protein. I hear that to maintain muscle you should eat 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight, and 1.5 grams to gain muscle. But here I have heard that you only need 1. So I try to get it somewhere in between. What's the dilly with that?

As far as supplements, I take 3 g creatine before a workout, 2 1000 mg fish oil caps 3 times daily, and a multi in the morning.

What are your cals, fats and carbs at? Also, drink more water, at least 1 gallon.

This was yesterday, I was a little under. I usually shoot for between 3000-3500 cals.
