Hello there, i more often then not, meet my daily protein needs by putting a spoon full of cottage cheese in my mouth, and chugging back water, and swallowing it all whole untill i got 300 g down the hatch. It works quite well, but it is an annoying way to do things :D

I was curious if anyone has any reccomanded ways to make a shake with cottage cheese that tastes GOOD, and does not taste like cottage cheese?

Tommarrow i am gonna attempt with 300ml 0% milk, 100ml strawberry yogurt, and a bunch of cottage cheese. I hope it tastes like yogurt!

An other ideas?

1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 scoop of some sort of thick protein powder (caesin or soy based work well)
1 TBSP nut butter (peanut or almond work very well)
~1 TBSP sugar free pancake syrup (I use walden farms "zero calorie" stuff-- not really zero cal, but in small amounts, it's close enough)
lots of cinnamon
lots of sweetner (I use stevia)
little guar gum/xanthum gum/psyllium husk (for thickness)
water+ice

1/2 cup dry cottage cheese
8oz 1% milk
1 medium banana
1 scoop chocolate whey.

Also, Ive found out that mixing dry cottage cheese with my pasta tastes real good. Check out the recipe forum for more ideas.

Is cottage cheese really THAT good for you so that you have to force it down with water?

are you saying cottage cheese isnt good to force it down.

or

Is it really that good ,bodybuilding wise, that id be willing to force it down?

Put it this way. Either i can defrost a chicken breast, cook it, clean the pan, clean my dishes..... OR swallow 4 massive gulps of cottage cheese and have to clean 1 water glass.

I think it works great. I hate dishes

the recipe above was derived from this one

1 cup co-chee
1 cup (berry) yougurt
4 ice cubes

these are thicker than the one above

but both are similar to a milk shake and are very nice before bed
