Normaly i drink my proteine shake right after training (or after cardio when i did that) , but i read somewhere the first hour you have to load your muscles with carbs only (recover glycocen stores : tell me if im wrong).

So im taking a bottle of 1L water with me filled with extran powder to sip between some sets and for the cardio and after it when im very thursty.
I presume when im drinking my last bit of water/extran mix my muscles keep getting filled so there is no problem me drinking my shake right after my shower ?

Am i doing things wrong or wright ? Or do i have to make some adjustments.

Every help and commentery are welcome.

Glycogen stores get depleted during exercise, and it's good to replace them immediately after your workout. That requires carbs, and it's probably the only time when simple carbs / sugars are good for you. Replacing the glycogen prevents your body from needing to use protein for energy (save it for building muscle).

Personally, if I'm going to drink anything (besides water) during my workout, I like a complex carb with a bit of protein. I like Hammer Nutririon Sustained Energy, but there are many others, or you can blend up your own. I go for the straight sugar & creatine right after my workout. Just my $.02.

Carbs + Protein Post workout = good

Im not sure what extran is, but if its high GI carbs, id say you are ok.

Extran is something like Gatorade powder so i assume it will be ok ?

Extran is the european variant of Gatorade , though they sell Gatorade also in some specialised shops.

So its good if i sip it trough the whole workout and finish my bottle when im done , that should refill my glycogen stores fully then ?

Oops, I didn't realize Extran was a carb drink. I think what you're doing is just right.

I like a FAT shake after a workout. Six scoops of NLarge. 78p, 132c, 9f, and I adjust my diet for the rest of the day so I can get maximum calories during and after a workout. I drink half midway through a workout, and the other half afterwards. So far its worked stupendously, even on a cut.
