When you eat an awful lot of protein in a short amount of time what happens? Does your body store it as fat since its excess, or could it possibly not be excess if your muscles have a lot of potential for hypertrophy, despite the fact that it's all coming in at close to the same time?

I have a lot of time to eat between 6 and 10, and between that time I have an awful lot of food, especially protiens and fats. I'm hoping it's not going to waste.

Excess protein is converted into glucose, and then stored as fat if that glucose isn't needed. However, a large meal (especially one with a lot of fat) will take longer to digest, so the protein will be absorbed more gradually.
