I just started my diet this week to lose weight. I weighed myself on the scale & it said i lost 5 lbs. I don't put much into it because i know its water weight. Is this a sign that im on the right track though?

yeah. you'll have a better idea in a couple weeks. if you're losing about 1lb per week by week 3-4 you're doing alright

how do you know it was only water weight? when was the last time you weighed yourself? do you regularly weigh yourself? if so at what time of the day? what does your "diet" consist of?

way to many factors to say what could have caused this without more information

I weigh myself once a week every tuesday or wednesday in the morning. I just started a week ago so i figured it was water weight. My diet consist of clean foods, like eggs, oatmeal, tuna, ect.

after the first initial water weight is lost what comes after that? Actual weight (muscle/fat)?
