I'd like to gain 10lbs w/in the next 8weeks and would prefer this extra weight to be as lean as possible....any recommendations as to how to do so? what should i take, what should i eat, any supplements, etc?

i usually wake up at 7:30 and go to bed around 11-12am, and hit the gym in the evening

Hmm. Should Equal about 650 calories above maintenance I would think..
650 x 7 =4550cal/week
4550cal/week x 8 =36400cal (over 8weeks)
36400/3500(calories/lb)=10.4lbs.(over 8weeks)

So raise cals by 650 above maintenance I would imagine.
In terms of quick mathematics thats my 10. :o

Would you still need around 3,500 kcals to gain a pound of muscle, since a pound of muscle is only around 2400 kcals?

You have to consider If you're working out you're burning crazy calories.. Also your increased resting metabolic rate.(Not to mention there is additional daily calorie burn for every lb/muscle you pack on.)
Usually to gain 1lb of muscle/week (clean muscle), a calorie increase of about 500 above your maintenence cal's is the generic rule of thumb. :)
