i have been doing a keto diet for the past 3 months (starting a CKD) here are my results:



HDL 50

LDL/HDL risk ratio 4.1

LDL 207

i think the total is 270 which is 60 over my usual.

tryglycerides: 65

any feedback appreciated.

im male 30 yrs old

Do you or anyone in your family have a history of high cholesterol? From my understanding, dietary cholesterol usually doesn't have a big impact on HDL and LDL. I could be wrong though, I'm not doctor.

yeah i have it in my family. just wondering if anyone had cholesterol problemos

That LDL is quite high..ideally you want to be below 100. Unfortunatly, genetics play a large role but a clean diet always helps. If it keeps going up, talk to a doctor about taking a cholesterol medication like Lipitor.

Your cholesterol level is very high. Have you consulted your doctor? Drug therapy may be an option.

more fiber,

more flax,

mixed tocotrienols before bed,

artichoke heart caps for bile production,

liver cleanse...

get off the Keto it's not providing the fiber needed for good health

Keto diets can have a significant affect on cholesterol. After you're off for a couple of months check it again and you'll have more reliable results.

my doctor said to give it 3 months, he said the cholesterol jump is common and could take a few months to actually go down. he suggested red yeast rice and fish oil, which i started already. my triglycerides are very good, however.
