I'm planning a cutting diet soon. A few times before I have made a cutting diet without enough fiber and that ain't good.

How much fiber is healthy to consume per day? 15-20g?

I'd say 15-20g is a bare minimum. Probably you'll find your cut goes better and you'll feel healthier at 30g plus. There is such a thing as too much fiber, but within reason it shouldn't be an issue.

My nutrition professor told us 25g for women/day and 38g for men/day is what you should get. Don't know if it makes a difference when you're cutting or not though.

:withstupi 30g should be a good, healthy amount.

That sounds logical if you ask me.

i just read an article on a study for diabetics (i think) that stated that just by the addition of more fiber (approximately 25-30 g/day instead of 10g), subjects lost about 5-6 pounds in maybe 2 months. no other dietary/activity changes were added.

eat yer fiber!

you know you're eating enough fiber when you eliminate 2-3 times per day
