They aren't so pretty after you chew them up, don't worry about it and enjoy! They'll get better looking with practice.
Oh yeah, did you wet your knife before slicing them? It looks a little to me like you had a dull knife and smashed them a bit.

How many ingredients did you use??

I believe not including the seaweed and rice that your technically supposed to have an odd number of ingredients. Not that it really matters. Supposed to be good luck or something like that. But I honestly could be making it up. *shrugs*
