View Full Version : Diet for building muscle and lowering body fat

Would this be suitable for someone who is a light weight, and has a high metabolism, and wants to build muscle while weight training, yet lower body fat.
Meal 1- egg beaters/oatmeal
Meal 2- pack of tunafish
Meal 3- fresh turkey, cottage cheese
Meal 4- Pack of tuna fish
Meal 5- Lipton noodles and chicken breast
I'd eat a few salads also to get my greens.

I wouldnt agree with that diet at all. You need to decide if you want to build up muscle or lose fat but do not try both at the same time as you will only get half assed results. To build muscle you need to eat a calorie surplus while to lose fat you need a calorie defecit. You call yourself a light weight so i would bulk first for a few months and then go on a cut if needed.
For your diet then I would recommend you increase your weekly calories by 500-1000 and adjust as necessary until you are gaining .5-1lb lbm a week.
I woul recommend your diet be adjusted to a 30:30:40 ratio of protein good fats and carbohydrates in association with a good training routine such as the wbb1

if you are happy with your bf % bulk, if not cut

With that diet above, is that going to help boost protein and carbs to allow this?
