What's the quickest way of defrosting chicken breasts?
Can you do it in the microwave? If so, how long?

Yes, microwave is fine. Do it at 1-2 minutes at a time until it's defrosted.

doesnt it say on the pack? every bag of chicken i have cooked has defrosting instructions on it

there's a defrost buttons on most microwaves . if there is then it usually will prompt for weight to be defrosted. if not defrost it in the micro at about 40 percent power, or else you will end up nuking the outside.

Putting them in water is a good way to thaw them out, but it does take time still. The quickest way to defrost them is to apply heat. So, defrost in a microwave would be one of the quickest.
