Hey all i was wondering if eating too much nuts is bad. I plan to eat just fats ad protein with little carbs? Lemme know guys.

well, yeah. they do contain sat'd. fats as well as the good fats, so TOO much would not be good. you on an Atkin's diet or something?

I think it depends on your goals. Too many nuts will push you over your caloric threshold due their being calorie dense. The nutrients in nuts are helpful but too many calories is still going to be stored as fat.

I turned into a right fat bastad eating peanuts & gorging on megabags of M&Ms during my first bulk.. BEWARE BEWARE i didnt know they were SO fulla fat :(

It's not the fats that are bad, it's just lots of calories in such of small package. I consider them more of a bulking treat than cutting treat.

My weakness is any kind of nut. So I have to be really careful...sooooo many calories in a handful of macadamia nuts

Nuts are good and quite satiating.
As long as your total fat and total calorie intake is under control I see no reason to eat lots of nuts. (unroasted, unsalted)

Once I start....I cant stop until the bag is empty....I dont know why I crave any kind of nut. I never get tired of them...cashew, peanut, almond, hazelnut, brasil nut, macadamia....see what you all have done? You got me all worked up now !!! :)
ps...I also like seeds..pumpkin, sunflower, any kind...I love them

Ok what do you think....the fat in nuts are healthy fats...does the body process them differently or are the calories still considered fat and stored as such if not used. MCT oil is handled differently by the body than other fats however excess consumption would be considered extra calories....a handful of nuts is about 300-400 calories which is a meal for some who are dieting.

make sure to keep the ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 close to 1:2
