Hey everyone,
I know this generally isnt the forum to be posting stuff like this in, but it would help if I got a few answers and figured why not ask. I have had an acne problem for the last 4 years, I got rid of it recently, I used accutane, cured over half of it, and I used a bunch of others and it slowly withered down to less then 2-3 noticible pimples instead of the multitude which I had in the past. Right now however, my face is left scarred with indents and other irritating and visible problems from all the acne I used to have, what would you guys/girls recommend to smooth all that out? cuz me, I have this loreal stuff.. cleanser/toner.. I just got it recently but I was wondering if I even bought the right stuff. Is there anything you'd recommend using in my case?

I doubt that you are going to remedy the problem with any thing you can buy at a drugstore. The only thing that may help is laser treatments, skin re-surfacing, that kind of thing.

photofacial rejuvenation.
It will set you back over a thousand dollars though.

i had chicken pox when i was 17 and had a bunch of scarring on my face. got a series of chemical peels and it did the trick. the scarring on my back eventually went away on it's own. i dont think anything from a drugstore would work. since you are only 17, you can wait it and your skin will get smoother with time (maybe 2-3 years) but if you aren't willing to wait then gotta go to a doc.

Shop around. Photofacials can range from $250 to $600 per session. Most people need 4-6 sessions and they must be about a month apart. No down time though.
Absolutely correct
well i used to have acne pretty bad as well... and there was a lot of it on my back and shoulders. i went to a dermatologist, and she gave me a few skin peels, and the acne slowly withered away. however, i was still left with scarring... sorta like what you're explaining. what i did, was... not only kept up with using my acne products (like the acidic lotions and stuff) - but... i sun tanned. and over a few periods of tanning outside, my skin darkened more and more... to the point where the scarring was sort of camouflaged.
