I was looking at a bottle of diet mountain dew and saw that it has 0 calories, no carbs and only 1% of your DV of sodium. I was wondering why people say you shouldnt drink it; I have heard it causes muscle retention or something like that. Any ways should I drink this at all or on a reward day or never. Thanks
You shouldn't drink it because it's chemical garbage. But if you want to, go for it. One bottle isn't going to hurt.

Aspartame(sp?) also messes with your insulin levels. Caffeine also isn't good for wight lifters in general.

Don't worry about it.
Caffeine and aspartame should be, quite honestly, the least of your concerns.
