I am very new at lifting but I am ready to make a change in my live, I been working out for two months and I been scouring the internet to learn more about lifting for mass.

I am 5.8 and I weight about 170 pounds, beside some of a belly there is no much fat around, but no big muscles also.

one thing has hold me right now, is to figure out what to eat and when, I really have tried to come up with a died by reading all this articles but I am not sure I understand it very well and I am sort of overwhelm

My purpose is to gain mass, as much as I can, I am working out 3 times a week ( after reading that 3 is better, --- I was going it 5 days before) ( for a begginer who wants to gain mass in your opinion in 3 days enough ??)

anywise I got a routine from this same site, wannabebig, the number one and that is what I am following,

however I need to figure out a died, I am trying to eat 5 times a day

could you all maybe share your diets or give an idea of what would you, at my stage eat.

like what for

breakfast,
mid morning,
lunch,
mid afternon,
night

and what to eat/drink before and after workout and how far apart, does your died changes if the day is not a workout day?

I thank you very much for any help you can provide me

do you track your intake with a tool?
fitday.com or dietorganizer.com (my fav)
are perfect.

To stick with a diet I think there are a few key things
1. cook all of your own meals
2. measure every portion
3. write down what/how much you eat
4. don't buy anything that doesn't fit your diet
5. at the end of the week check ur averages and adjust your diet

for ease of cooking/tracking try to avoid variety

how strict you are will determine your success

protein: powders, eggs, chicken/turkey, fish
carbs: vegetables, oats
fats: olive, fish, flax

thank you geoffgarcia... Do you have a plan for everyday that you follow, like eating oaks in the morning, a piece of chicken in the mid morning, beans in at noon etc.

do you eat different foods at different days

any type of protein.. such as whey or a protein blend. If you need some try wannabebig's line of supplements at atlargenutrition.com and try the nitrean for additional protein in your diet.
