im tryin to gain weight but have a healthy diet....
i was planing on eating a ton of brown rice and pasta and a weight gainer shake a day( its 620 cals) for cals
the rest of my diet would be alot of veggies and some friut
is there a such thing as too much rice and pasta?
wouldnt all those carbs just turn into fat some or most of which i will be burning from lifting hard

ima try to stay away from meats.... not yet though..... ive heard meats arent too good for the body.... i'll probly try this soon

If you plan to go vegan, do your research. It's (arguably) not as easy to get certain nutrients/vitamins that are abundant in meat. Protein and iron come to mind.
Either way, you need to balance your meals with carbs, fat, and protein. All carbs is not good.

Unless you have ethical reasons to avoid meat, there is absolutely no need to do so.

Anyways, my only qualm is that you may have a hell of a time finding low-fat, low-carb protein sources. If you're not going vegan, you can avoid this by using egg and milk-based proteins.
Whatever you want. Bill Pearl was a vegetarian and I think he eventually went vegan, but I know he didnt eat meat or fish for a large portion of his career.

Where's the protein?
well through the rice im gonna use it will total up to 36 grams of protein a day plus the 52 in the shake.... so about 88 grams a day.... im not really protein crazy... as for iron.... the amount of rice im gonna be eating is way over the daily rec value in iron... and for other vits... i'll be taking multi vits from natures code which is suppose to be one of the best out there....jus tryin to gain weight.... thats my only thing is to gain weight... right now im really cut at 160.... im tryin to get to 180-190...

88g of protein with 36g of that being "incomplete" plant protein just ain't going to cut it. Is there a reason you haven't mentioned meat or dairy? Are you actually vegetarian or vegan? At the very least add some beans.

Eat protein. It tends to expedite the bulking process a bit.
