Is this possible? I would be taking it for the more vain of all reasons and that is that I think I'm too short and it bothers me. I know this probably isn't feasible whatsoever but I would like to find out. Is it possible to take HGH to gain a few inches in height? I'm 5'8 right now. The problem is that I'm 17 years old right now. I heard that whether or not you will grow while using the stuff is based on your growth plates and whether or not they fused. (I found this out from a search I did on this site). Is there anyway to find out if your growth plates have fused? I was thinking maybe an x-ray or something. If it is possible what exactaly do you have to do in order to see benefits from HGH?

Any help would be appreciated. Please don't bash me either, I'm really just curious and want to know if it is at all feasible.

Your Dr. can test you. I was gonna when I was a kid (5"3 for me). I was told it increases the chances of sterility later in life so my folks would'nt do it. Now I am 30 and if I could afford it I'd do it. Later...

Your doctor can check your growth plates but you are past the age for therapy. Even if you qualify it will cost a few thousand per month for the HGH as insurance won't cover it.

So there would be no chance of me growing taller with it? I thought you kept growing until you were in your late teens or early twenties.

Bro,

Being shorter does not mean smaller. I am 5"3 but weigh 190 at 12% BF off cycle. On I get up to 200 or so at much lower BF. Sure lack of height has it's disadvantages but in Bodybuilding a 5'3 middleweight will win if in equal condition to his competitor at say like 5'7 or above. Easier to pack on the pounds bro... I'd check with a Dr. but I was 13 when I went to the Dr. Good Luck..

If your stats are as you say they are then you should be a pro by now.

Yeah I'm 190 at 12%, 5'4". If I were 188, 195 at 4% at my height, I'd basically have the stats of Franco at his top. Thats a hell of a difference. Yeah I've got these stats but I wouldnt call myself big. I'm called big but I dont consider myself very large. The standards are such that at 5'4" you gotta be 220 to be big. What kind of crap is that? I'm already 60lbs 'overweight.'

He wouldnt be a pro these days. At 5'3" he'd have to compete at 215-230. 195 at 5% would cut it for an amateur comp these days. 175 for an amateur 'natural' comp.

As for wanting to be taller than 5'8"- dont be a bitch. There's nothing wrong with being 5'8". You are NOT short. You're 17. You may very well have stopped growing. I stopped growing at 14. I didnt go whining to my doctor like a child about how I'm not taller. ****ing deal with it. It may sound like I'm being an ******* but height is one thing you shouldn't take as a handicap. It means nothing, absolutely nothing. The only difference height makes in life is complicating clothes shopping, and at 5'8" you dont even have to worry about that. So shut up. Please. Seriously, I beg you, stop right now.

You should be worrying about how to put on some meat on you skinny ass instead of miserable about height. I am 5.5'' do not bitchy. I wish I am 5.8".

Bro's,

A Pro at 5'3 200lbs with 8-10%BF ? You got to be kidding me? Lee P. is a genetic FREAK. Like has been said he is 200lbs at 3% BF. I am talking about 8-10% BF for me on cycle ( gram of Prop/week and fina 100mg/week ) at 200 LBS. ! I do not claim to be even close to Pro standards. I do not consider myself big by any stretch and have alot of improvements to even be a national competitor. I come in as a middleweight at 168lbs ( last time ). The lowest BF I have been able to reach come showtime is 5% ( with duiretics ). 3% Maybe in my dreams. People throw around BF % but for those of us that know what it means to really be 5% ( or lower ) we know the dedication it takes to get there. I Needed to clarify this after reading some of these posts on this thread after my opinions. Later...

Its only possible before you finish puberty, and its expensive and i dont know about the side effects.

I heard a rumour Dennis Rodman was really only going to be 5"9
