high-GI carbs
and low-GI carbs
I was reading a post about the above terms, could anyone tell me what are foods that belong to each of these categories so I know what should I eat before and after my workout

well in all honesty since nobody here is going to give you a list of all foods you will have to learn to find this info through google
"glycemic index"
high GI carbs would be simple sugars and the such as well as refined flours. White bread, white rice, and white potatoes would fall into this category. Although I don't think white rice and white potatoes are anything to worry about.
low GI carbs would be sweet potatoes, oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread, and whole grain products.

Finding the Insulin Index may also be of value. It seems to be what people are turning toward, when it comes to response ratios.
