1400-1700 cals is a bit low for your weight. I think you would be better off around 2000 (BWx12). If you're losing more than 1-1.5 lbs per week you'll probably be losing a lot of lean mass along with the fat.

well, my diet, whether bulking or cutting, is usually made up of chicken, tuna, lean beef, whole wheat bread, brown rice, veggies, fruit, oats, sweet potato, and maybe a protein shake when I miss a meal.

post your current diet so people can take a look at it and give you suggestions on how to improve it

I've never really seen good repeatable caliper or electronic tests anyway. It probably has to do with the inaccuracy of the test or h2o.

Sure you could have dropped a little fat but who knows. I agree with the calories though. Maybe up it just a little.

Just plan out a balanced diet and stick with it. Losig fat takes time and commitment...no magic involved. You'll see your abs after a few weeks. Browse the forums for cutting diet ideas and make one that you'll stick to.

well, cutting diet depends on your preferences. You just really have to create one for yourself, with the ideas in these forums of course.

I think its very possible to drop enough water in 4 days to lose a percentage point of bodyfat. Its doubtful he actually lost that much fat in four days though.

As I said before...browse/search the forums for ideas. I have posted mine up before but my rough diet is as follows:

Breakfast 7:00 AM
1/2 Cup of Egg Beater
1 Slice of Whole Wheat/Grain Bread
1 Cup of Milk

Snack 10:15 AM
1 Banana
1/4 Cup of Peanuts

Lunch 12:00 PM
Around 400 Calories, either a 6" Subway Sub w/ Double Meat or 2 Small Wendy's Chilis

Non Workout Day Snack 4:00 PM
2 Piece of Tyson Breaded Chicken Tenderloin

Workout Day Pre Snack 4:00 PM
1 Cup of Milk
1 Serving of Designer Whey Glycerlean
1 Banana

Workout Day Post Snack 6:00 PM
2 Piece of Tyson Breaded Chicken Tenderloin

Dinner 8:00 PM
Variable...either fish or chicken, vegetables aim for around 400 Calories
Try not to eat any carbs. Sometimes I have a small dinner and then drink a Shake w/ Water and Peanut Butter before I go to sleep.

I try to consume about 2200 Calories with 75 Fat, 220 Carbs, 160 Protein
