Whey protien breakdown

Once you mix whey powder and liquid together, how long can it stay out before the protien strands breakdown and it's no good?

I would say take it within an hour or so..

Erm, that sucks :/ I was hopping to pack up a premixed shake in the morning and take it to school with me...

Save me from paying $4 for a freaking protien bar after lifting.
