My tommy must be too small because I am unable to eat enough to get my 3000 calories in a day... the most I get is 2000 ... so I am thinking to get a weight gainer to help out until I get used to eat that much.....

could you recomend a product/brand for a good weight gainner

One pound of pasta has something like 1600 calories. Pasta and olive oil is very good. Try eating that before going to supps.

Sounds like good advice. When I plan my meals I first pick out the meat or fish to get enough protein and then add enough of something like pasta to get the rest of the calories in. IMO there's no better calorie filler than pasta.

Unless you're seriously having trouble getting your calories...I don't see a need in using weight gainer. I've also read stuff on how the long term effects of it are rather bad.

i had same problem as you but weight gainer is mostly whey protein and malto, its generally not worth the price. try this instead, 12 oz whole milk, 2 scoops whey protein 2 tablspoons nat peanut butter and anything else you can throw in, banana? if you want to add your own malto go ahead. A shake like that can easily be 800 cals. pound 2 a day and you can double your cal intake.

Another vote for real food here. They're called supplements for a reason.

At the very least make your own shake as warreport suggested, sounds like a pretty good recipe there.

I am interested to know about these long term effects.

Oatmeal is a good weightgainer. very calorie dense along with Natural peanut butter... blend all those in a whey protien shake.

Liquid calories are a godsend if you have a small stomach. Drink a gallon of 2% milk everyday.
