i was just wondering if it matters to when you eat food.

would it be all right if i ate lots of food after my workout? or should it be before?

also..if you don't eat much..but workout heaps...does my workingout energy stay in my body until food comes in...and then develops?

if i eat before a workout i feel a little sick..but i am starving after a workout so i tend to eat after a workout

Working out on an empty stomach is a good way to lose muscle. I would eat a meal about 2.5 hours before a workout, then 20-30mins before take ~25g of whey with ~30g carbs. Then post-workout, take ~40g whey and some dextrose/malto, maybe 35-40g.

I drink a shake with a 30 grapes, 1 cup of milk, and a serving of whey before I workout. Afterwards I eat either fish or chicken and some bread or rice to help replenish my glycogen. I also try to throw in some vegetables for a more complete meal.

say i work out heaps the next 3 days..but dont' eat too much..

but then after a few more days..i eat heaps....does the working out i did do any help?

If you're trying to "GAIN weight & GAIN muscle", then you should be eating heaps every day.

Especially training days.

Yeah, you wanna gain, you gotta eat, no way around it. I consider eating more important than workouts sometimes.

dude, if your goal is to gain weight than eat "heaps" EVERYDAY! it's that simple.
