I was recently told that your body can only process soo much protein in a day. If this is true how much is too much and where should it be taken out of. Should I back off on the protein shakes, bars and other supplements in relation with them.

Unless you're eating 400+ grams of protein per day, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Let's say this is true, it is still impossible to figure out a "right" amount for you. everyones body is different in size, metabolic rate etc etc. So just eat alot, if you eat too much, think of it as a protein overdose, you might even get bigger than planned.

Just have your body weight in grams per day, and drink tons of water, 1-2gallons should do the trick.

I get a good 300-350 daily and don't have any bowel movement or gas problems.

it is possible, but almost impossible to do (and a waste of money). you'd have to eat tons of protein on purpose. i think the experiment whcih came to this conclusion eating their mass in protein, and came up w/ the idea that "too much protein can hurt your kidneys." well, too much of anything can hurt you, but in teh case of protein, don't worry about it

right, i'm consuming about 250-300g daily in protein, but cant gain weight. i was gaining 3lbs a week for 2 weeks and then it stopped, any idea why this is so? i'm 180lbs looking to get to 210lbs.

is there a limit to the amount of protein that can be taken in per meal? i have 1 meal where i eat 550g of steak.

You have to be eating enough calories to gain weight, not protein.
