View Full Version : BULK or NO BULK

I attached two pictures of me. I wanted to lose that gut but at the same time gain some muslce mass. I know you cant do both at the same time. So what should i do first????? I Know i need muscle!!! :evillaugh My bodycomp said i had 18% body fat.hmmmmmm.......... IM in need of some help thanx. I currently weigh 160 pounds and i am 6'0 tall.

Looks like you don't have alot of muscle mass so I'm gonna assume you are new to lifting weights. I'm gonna have to say BULK!:D Also when your muscle mass increases if your bf stays the same technically you are lowering your bf %:).

a good bulking supp with not much sugar would be beans or oats.

Food. No need to worry about supps. Just eat right..and eat more. Rest, lift big.

I definately agree with everyone and say to BULK. Keep in mind that the cleaner your diet is the less fat you are likely to gain. Eat at least 1 g of protein per body weight, eat a lot of clean carbs, some healthy fats, and remember to eat 6 meals a day. I would also stop doing cardio but if you're gonna do it, do as least as possible.

yea well you should bulk, but you should also read in every forum here - save the anabolic one- there's so much stuff to learn on this site your head might hurt alittle, but the pain goes away eventually.

I don't see why he could do a small cut and lose a few bf % before going headfirst into bulking, ya know. He could figure out a weight training routine in the meantime. (not that I"m saying I'm a successful strength trainer myself)

Eat, Eat, Eat but lay off fast food. And if I could recommend....do lots of bench presses, bent over rows and military presses. With a bigger upper body you'll create the illusion of a smaller waist. And start doing crunches and twists.
