View Full Version : elite lifter?
What exactly constitutes an elite lifter, is it a total of weight on 3 exercises at a certain bodyweight?
I have searched, and got loads of references to elite and lifting but no clear definition

I'm not sure if it's just an IPF standard, or if every federation has their own.
Here is a link to the candian powerlifting site with the different classes.

The CPU is under the IPF so I believe it would be the same.

Each federation has their own. IPF/CPU/USAPL are all the same, i think.
IPA is higher, as is APF.
thanks that is a great site, wow I'm miles off elite.

Yeah it is, those totals are in kilograms if that's what is throwing you off. So multiply those numbers by 2.2 to get a pretty good translation to pounds.

Blah, you edited your post, so I guess you figured it out. :)
Most guys will never reach elite. Most guys won't reach class I or even II. But it's a good thing to just keep trying to improve and move up the classes and see where you end up.
sorry ELpeitro
I realised how silly i was
I was thinking 780, total, i can do that until i realised it was in KGs wow now that is heavy
