I took weightraining class this year, so its been my first period of really hardcore weight training.

Started the year recovering from a broken collarbone (football) though, so I wasn't fully healed, (able to do bench, shoulder press, etc.) until halfway through October I think. I was about 148-150 lbs then with 8.8% BF (caliper).

5 months later, currently, I'm 165 ish, with 8.4% BF.

Around Christmas I measured myself, and started a high volume program. Gained 30 lbs on my bench 1RM, 2 inches on my chest, 1 inch on my bicep after I finished that 6 week program. Haven't done much in March though because of spring break, getting back into it now.

I want to bulk to about 185, then keep my bodyfat at around 7-8%. (Would like the extra weight for football ;))

Anyways that's my story, might start a journal or something if I'm not too lazy.

Here's some pics from tonight:

Also, to comment on your Deads, stop using the smith for squats. Doing real squats will also help your deads.

Good figure, but mate, there's no way you're 16.

Real nice progress. Like other said, keep eating and eating. With your body type you should have no trouble making lean gains if the diet is right. And yes, do yourself some deep free weight squats.

Good figure, but mate, there's no way you're 16.

I am actually...turning 17 in September 28 so I guess closer to that.

And yeah I've started doing box, parallel, and deep squats now...think my max for deep squats is like 185 once or twice lol.

Also, does anyone think my legs look too small? I think they are ok in proportion to the rest of my body, since it's all pretty small ;)

I think 13" pumped and flexed on my bicep, about 21" on my thighs.

what made you think I was?

You look like an adult in those pics.

About your arms and legs, 13" and 21" seem like a good ratio.

My arms are almost 16" and my legs are 24, so that's the same 8 inch difference.

Work them both and eat like hell.

Yeah I agree. I guess the Avatar is up for grabs though since Manveet's gone.

I'm gonna scan in some pics from christmas which is before I started the 6-week volume program (Finished about 2 weeks before march break).

Also a funny thing happened, friday before spring break, i barely pushed 185 twice.

Today I pushed it 4 times, first three touching my chest, last one has kind of half-way.

Guess I needed that week of rest

They're in the Juiced vs. Normal pic thread.

Also when you guys were saying deep squats, how far apart should my feet be?

I was doing them by keeping weight on my heels, feet about shoulder width apart, keeping my knees as behind my toes as possible, keeping the tension in my knees (not resting at the bottom), and touching my hamstring to the back of my calves, then exploding up...

Lookin' aight man. You do look older. My measurements are about the same as yours and I'm 15... ;) But you do have higher bench. Stay up buddy and keep working. BTW, decent cut on the quads.
