would performing HIIT post weights workout be advisable? and when should protein and creatine suppliments be taken if this training is undertaken?

If you can do HIIT after a training session then your not doing one or both correctly. Hiit is done on my cardio days by themselves. 10-50 yard full wind sprints with 50 yard walks in between. There is no way I could hold the intensity if I just killed myself in the gym.

I would do it early in the morning

Get up, drink a protein shake and do some HIIT for 20 minutes or so..In the morning glycogen levels are low so you will be burning fat easier
