Here is what I recently ordered to supplement what is hopefully going to be a period of heavy training starting Monday. What timing and usage would you guys use with these supplements?
I'm 6'6" and 235 and am going to get into some heavy lifting and beyond failure work to build some good mass. I want to size up a few pounds and get leaner too.

depends on what your diet looks like

but here is a shot
Designer Whey - ONEWAY Bar = 1-2 per day

NOW VITAMINS - CREATINE POWDER
EAS - Simply Creatine1.1 LB
either one five to fifteen grams per day, everyday. Don't skip any days or you won't see optimal results!!
The best results have been noticed when creatine is combined with a high carbohydrate base, such as dextrose (glucose) and taken about one-half hour before training. Grape juice is another ideal source.

NOW VITAMINS - FLAX OIL = 1-2 tbsp daily

NOW VITAMINS - GLUTAMINE PURE PWD = 2grams significantly elevated growth hormone release, best results require 20-40 grams of glutamine a day.

NOW VITAMINS - OMEGA 3-6-9 LIQUID = 1-1/2 tablespoons per 100 lbs. of body weight daily with meals

EAS - ZMA HP = 4 caps prior to your workout and 4 caps 30 minutes before bed time, preferably on an empty stomach

EAS - SimplyProtein Complete Whey 5 lb = 50g 3-4 times per day

Solgar - EARTH SOURCE MULTI-NUTRIENT = 1 per day

the zma and protein recommendation seem a little high, I thought taking zma before bed was best but why 4 capsules? Are they not that effective in the single dosage?

AllNatural...
the dosage for ZMA was pulled off the bottle = http://www.bodybuilding-supplements-for-you.com/eas/zma-hp.htm

as for protein it completely depends on diet.
I take 50g pre and post workout as well as 30 AM and 30 PM

Eas add vitamin C (500mg) to their capsules which bulks them up quite a lot so in order to get the daily dose of 30mg zinc and of Magneium 550mg this equals 8 tablets. I personally have found this very awkward and have changed brands.

Glutamine I would add to your dogs food if you have one as its definatly not going to do any good for you.

Should do some more research before actually ordering.

ahh you made the mistake many have made. Supplementing L-glutamine doesn't really do much for you. some will say that it doesn't work at all in humans. but it does work to help repair muscles. however, the results you see from weight training and supplementing glutamine will be so minimal that you're better off returning it. or the dog food thing was good too

especially at how much glutamine you ordered =\

2 years ago when I was training hard glutamine was all the rage, why all the sudden is everyone bashing it? Why would the most abundant amino acid in your bloodstream be bad to load up on before a workout? It helps you keep a positive nitrogen balance and keep your energy up for your workout

While it sounds good you cant argue with the clinical trials and if you do a search you will see many showing its lack of effects on muscle building. The only positive study i have seen is on the immune system on endurance athletes. The only importance for glutamine would be for enternal and parental nutrition of the sick.
