View Full Version : Night b4 Valentines.. NEED ADVICE!

Hey all,
Ok there is this girl at school. (College, a few thousand students) she's a friend of a very good friend of mine. They have the same classes and stuff. I saw her at the club on the weekend, and at school today.. and, well..
I am hooked. I don't know what it is... she just does it for me, ya know?
I have relationship experience. 3 1/2 years worth.. yada, yada, yada. And assuming she'd even go for me, I leave this town in 3 months (i'd be 2 1/4 hours away).
Anyways... tommorrow is Valentines Day. I was thinking of writing her a letter (no guarantees I would see her, but even if i did.. she's with friends.. and I am not that confident yet!). I was going to write her a letter and give it to my friend to give to her...
Basically the letter will just say who I am, and that I wanted to make somebody smile on Valentine's Day, instead of turning it into a depressing day that most "singles" see it as. She may have a boyfriend, or she maybe insulted. I was going to include a note at the bottom, that if she's insulted or whatever.. to just throw it out.. my intent isn't to scare anyone or make enemies.
I am a hopeless romantic, and I think if she's receptive to this letter.. she'd think it's sweet. No hearts or anything, maybe just a nice letter saying some nice things to make her smile on Valentines Day.
What do you all think? I need feedback TONIGHT... cuz tommorrow would be the big day!
Thanks all,
Twiztid

She could get very insulted and make the remaining months of my school life hell, yet I am not there that much anyways (8 hours of class a week!).
Or.. it could turn it to a great relationship.
I DUNNO...
Should I chance it?

Go for it bro
Sounds slightly daring but kinda sweet
and aren't girls suckers for sweet guys anyway
Twiz,
In my honest opinion, i think you should go for it. We both know that after your last relationship experience, you were depressed and stuff. If she is interested then cool, it not oh well. Just remember, the biggest regrets we have are the chances we don't take, so nut up and swing the bat.

You never know unless you try. I met my wife under very similar circumstances. On second thought, run like hell! Just kidding, go for it!

Here's the letter!
-------------
Hey Leslie,
This just might be the weirdest day of your life! You don't know me, although you may have seen me around. I am a friend of Shannon's, the one who gave you this letter. Well, let me start off by saying that my intention of this letter isn't to freak you out. Not by any means. If this letter does
freak you out, I am sorry for that. The purpose of my letter is to say hello, and try and make somebody smile on Valentine's Day.
I don't know if your single or not, and by writing this letter... I am not trying to "hook up with you". If your not single, oops.. I feel like an even bigger dumb-ass for writing this then! I am single myself, have been for almost a year now and it ain't all that bad. However, when Valentine's Day comes around all the singles seem to act all depressed and want to hide in a hole to avoid all the "happy" couples running around. Well, this is what I am doing to change this year.
I've been the depressed single before, and if you are single as well... you know what it is like. That is the intent of this letter, it makes me happy knowing that somebody who deserves to have a good day, might actually have a good day because of this letter.
So yeah, anyways... I've seen you around. Saw you at the Vibe on Saturday talking with Shannon, and in the computer labs just yesterday... and I must say that when I first saw you, I asked about you (to Shannon, who didn't know much). Instead of going out on a limb anymore, and telling you that your pretty and stuff... I will just say, that seeing you those few times drove me to write this letter to you. I am a firm believer that looks aren't everything (they say that only ugly people say that! hah), and I am sure there is much more to you then your good looks. If your ever interested in talking or whatever, feel free to drop me an e-mail. I can be reached at: soorez@hotmail.com Write to say hello, or to tell me to stick it... hah!
Yeah, your probably wondering why I am doing the whole High School thing and giving you a note and stuff. Well, I don't know you at all... and I wouldn't have the nerve to just walk up to you and start talking. So, I figured what the hell.. give it a shot, and the least I can do is make somebody have a good Valentines Day. I know I will have a good day myself, knowing that at least I attempted to make an impact on somebody elses Valentines Day.
Now, for the real important stuff. If this letter offended you, I am very sorry. If you have a boyfriend and want to get him to beat me up now, I'd ask that you don't. This is rather embarassing for me to actually do this as it is, and to be pointed and laughed at in the hallways for doing this wouldn't be very fun. So, I apologize now if this offends you.
I just wanted to make somebody smile on Valentines Day... and I hope this letter made you smile.
So.... Happy Valentines Day!
From,
Jamie

I say go for it. You really have nothing to lose. The one thing I might point out is the fact that you over-emphasized the fact that you didn't want to scare her or freak her out or anything. I think once you state it, she gets it. Either way Good Luck with it!

"If you have a boyfriend and want to get him to beat me up now, I'd ask that you don't."
lmao! Bro, just remember - compliment any girl in a civilized manner and she'll be flattered. So, I'm sure she'll be flattered by your letter.

Hey Leslie,
You sweet ass biatch! I hope this don't offend you but I'm a firm believer that a girl with a sweet ass like yours has more to share than a girl with a fat ass. When I saw you at the Vibe, I was amazed of the proportion of your rack with your ass. You see.. I'm a little shy, and on valentine day I feel very depressed when I go home alone knowing that I haven't tried to lose my virginity this year again, so again I w*nk. I know the probability that you feel this way too is very thin, but I hope the day you'll recieve a letter from someone opening his heart to you that you'll do the same..
PS: If you have a boyfriend and want to get him to beat me up now, bring it on.
Happy Valentine Day!
Marc
Twizt, get someone else to send her my letter before yours and you got yourself a girl. I think your letter have too much pessimises, I think you're being sweet doing this but something is wrong. If you make her feel like you'd be the one who'd be lucky having her than she will not fall for it. Give yourself more confidence and pride..

Sinep is the man! Anyways, I hope the letter thing worked out for you, if not you can always go after anthony's gf :D

Yeah, Sinep is da man, hehe. But like he said and others said, i thinktheres a little too much pessimist, and that you overemphasized the fact that you didnt want to freak her out, have more confidence. And hope for oyu that you pin her :D

Hey Leslie,
You don't know me, although you may have seen me around. I am a friend of Shannon's, the one who gave you this letter. The purpose of this letter is to introduce myself. I have seen you out and about and thought that you are someone I would really like to get to know better. I saw you at the Vibe on Saturday talking with Shannon, and in the computer labs just yesterday... and I must say that when I first saw you, I asked about you (to Shannon, who didn't know much). I realize that I may be going out on a limb here, but getting to know you is more important to me than the possibility of seeming a little foolish. I will just say, that seeing you those few times drove me to write this letter to you. I am a firm believer that looks aren't everything (they say that only ugly people say that! hah), and I am sure there is much more to you than your good looks. Yeah, you're probably wondering why I am doing the whole High School thing and giving you a note. Well, I don't know you at all... and I can definitely think better if I am writing to you than meeting you in person for the first time. I guess I figured I could make a better first imppression this way instead of stammering through some awkward introduction. So, I figured what the hell.. give it a shot
If you are currently involved with someone I hope you don't find this letter offensive.
Well, that's about it, I hope you have a wonderful day and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
So.... Happy Valentines Day!
From,
Jamie
I hope I'm not too late. I tried to keep your flavor, but make the letter less apologetic and more assertive.
