hahah:) sorry, I didn't know what you wanted from this thread...
first off, how much money do you have?
gyms are pretty expensive...if you don't have 100k+ in liquid assets then turn around now....
if your looking at Golds or Powerhouses I think the requirements were like 300k liquid ish...
thats just the up front money to get a loan and get into the franchise and to make the franchise feel confident that a) you have some backup cash and b) that you have a sense of how money works

if you want to go solo, good luck to you! I REALLY don't recommend it, unless your in a small town, especially if you haven't tried anything this risky before.

Golds has a min sq ft of about 18k I believe...the golds I go to is 75k sqft...
figure a minimum of 10k that you will have to lease at 25$ a sqft depending on where you are...

I could go on and on....but I'm not sure if this is the info you need?

Yeah the upfront cost of a gym is huge :( Tough business to break into. Why dont you just work the front desk at one for $7/hr for the rest of your life? ;)
