Well, one of my favorite bands of all time.

I have their Greatest Hits CD (Best from 1980 to 1990) keeping me company at the office.

Their most recent album could give many of the hits on this CD a run for their money, but some standards like "Sunday Bloody Sunday" still stand the test of time.

Any favorites?

I liked them till the joshua tree days. Bono sometimes pisses me off with his self-righteous-pompous-holier-than-thou attitude.

Yeah, but I've learned to ignore Bono.

He's a nice guy, for an Irishman. :nod:

The Edge's guitar work is ace tho. It's what drew me to the band in the first place.

What I don't understand is how about two years ago they were getting so much publicity. There ok, but if anything there older stuff was better.

Joshua Tree is AWESOME. It's good to see other U2 fans, I don't know anyone else who likes U2 besides me heh.

Well I'm Irish so maybe I don't count ;) I would loved to have seen them play at Slane Castle when they were at their pinnacle, back in the 80's, but I was a bit too young.

I used to be a member of their Propaganda club and got that Passengers and esoteric singles' CD.


Achtung baby and the following releases changed my heart.

The Joshua Tree has the best intro of any album..IMHO.

Joshua Tree it's great... and is their last album. After that , they were killed and replaced by clones unable to play the same music :D

I wouldn't say that..I didn't like Achtung Baby when it came out because it was so different from what I expected, but it really is a great album...'One' was voted the best love song of all time in some music magazine poll recently.
