Hi guys did you know that a guy named Phillip K Dick wrote the novels and short stories on which many great Sci Fi films have been based on?
Total Recall
Bladerunner
Minority Report
Impostor
All based on the work of the Dick Meister.

I've read his book "The Man in the High Castle", I found it to be a good read although quite disturbing - it is an alternative history considering a world in which the Axis won World War II and the Nazis and Japan have carved up the US between them. The conclusion is very quirky but the introduction helped to explain what he was trying to convey. I'd certainly recommend it, and I'd like to give his other stuff a try when I don't already have a pile of books waiting to be read :)

PK Dick is my absolute favorite author!!!
Read Ubik . that book got me hooked on him. i have read virtually everything he has ever written ... except when i come across something rare - then i pick that up too. he is a cult icon. his stuff deals a lot with alternate realities and the fine line between what is truth and what is not (think BladeRunner, Total Recall, The Man in the High Castle for easy reference). he was on a lot of drugs and i think he committed suicide (although i could be wrong on that) which explains his themes.
by the way - blade runner came from the book do androids dream of electric sheep? get it. find his books in the library and read them.
