Wow, that's a strong field.

On a side note, I wish my name was Hung.

but that would be an oxymoron.

I shudder to think that a 114 lber can bench 302 lbs

I had the pleasure of meeting Sean in Orlando over the weekend. I must say he is a great guy and I wish him and Monster Muscle nothing but the best!

As a side note, AtLarge Nutrition sponsored J.T. Hall (4th in the 220s). Congratulations to J.T. on a big lift!

I think this is the most impressive lift in the whole field.

A 130 lb woman who benches more then 99% of guys.

One of the best after hours clubs in Portland is in China Town and it's called Hung Far Low's - great place to sober up and really funny souvenier t-shirts.

Judy Svercheck trains with the Spokane Monster Muscle Crew. At 140 pounds bodyweight, she recently competed at the APF Washington State Championships and she benched 300 and deadlifted 500!

Kara Bohigian has the highest total in the history of the women's 148 class. I got to see her lift again at the 2003 GNC Show of Strength and she squatted 550, benched 374 and deadlifted 484!

There are a lot of women powerlifters who are really impressive. One of Monster Muscle's goals is to get more women involved in the sport, as powerlifting builds confidence and strength.

How tall are these guys who weight 114?

The men in the 114 class are usually between 5' and 5'4.

The women in the 114 class are usually between 4'10 and 5'2.

There are really lean women though, who are taller than 5'2 and in the 114 class.

Just like in boxing or wrestling, the 132 class and below is usually full of shredded competitors.

It was really cool of you to fly down to Orlando to check out The Rise of the Dead! I had a blast talking with you Chris and I hope to see you at another competition soon.

It's awesome that At Large Nutrition is getting so active with supporting powerlifting! At Large sponsored J.T. Hall at Bench America and they sponsored Big Jon Grove and James "The Pitbull" Searcy at The Rise of the Dead! I really appreciate that and I know that the lifters do too - support the companies that support powerlifting!
