View Full Version : Cutting for Lake Havasu

I have been following a low carb diet for about 5 months and lost about 30lbs, and got myself down to 12% bodyfat... My goal is to get around 9-10% BF through a cutting diet... I have decent arm and chest size and don't want to lose anything through cutting... I have been lifting 3-5 days a week for 3 months and will continue... I am going to lake Havau in 4 weeks, and I want my abs to really poke out...

Any suggestions??? Should I start cuttting now or should I wait until 2 weeks before Havasu?

Also, I don't really know what to eat for a low calorie diet? I only know low carb, any suggestions are really appreciated..

If you wanna cut fast, look up the "Ultmate Diet 2.0", it worked well for many members. But I warn you, its VERY tough, but IMO the ends justify the means.

In any event, I doubt you'll lose 3% in 2 weeks.

i just got my copy of UD2.0 and am starting to read it. i wonder what's in store for me...

Wait until you're first starvation+depletion workout, hell is in store for you, plain and simple.:)

i can't wait. i think im gonna go on a little cut first and make sure i'm at 15%bf, cuz i think im at like 16 or 17, and it specifies that you should be at 15 before you go on it. so i'll probably start in a couple of weeks, but i wanna read through it first so that should give me enuogh time to do so.

At 16 or 17% I'd just go on UD2. I know he says to get to 15% of below, but he also says that if you've been cutting, to take a 2 week break and maint. cals to help your metabolism return before going on UD2.

Man, people are so obsessive. 15% is just a recommendation...that extra 1% over is fine. If you're 20%+, then I'd try something else as you can easily drop the fat using a much more sane diet.

Sounds about right. Leg days are BRUTAL. Takes like 2 weeks to get used to it.
