Well, two questions really:
1. I'm thinking of cutting out the weight gain shake that I've been using and going along with just whey and dextrose. I'm not sure if I should do this -- my aim is to bulk up to about 180-ish and then cut to about 160/165. My question is, will there be less of a fat gain if I stick to whey shakes as opposed to mixing things up as I do now with both a whey-based shake and a casein/whey shake? The casein/whey shake is the weight gain one. Also keep in mind that I eat cleanly most of the time, so any protein not derived from a shake comes from whole foods and soy milk -- soy b/c I'm mildly lactose intolerant. Lactaid is not an option btw -- I get bloated from it.
2. As for whey shakes, how much whey and how much dextrose is a good proportion? From reading a bunch of journals and threads, it seems that 1 scoop of whey to 5 g dextrose is a good round number but I just wanted to find out ppl's opinions, just in case. What's a good brand or will generic whey and generic dextrose do for my purposes?
3. Stupid question: how do you measure taking 1 g of dextrose? Is there like a gram sized scoop or other method that I can use? Sorry for the silly question.
Thanks in advance.
