View Full Version : Calorie Intake per day / Body Weight

How many calories if ok for me to intake per day?

I weigh 260 pounds.

How about grams of fat?

ANy advice would be appreciated to help me in my diet.

It would be an excellent idea for you to go to that page and read up, especially the archives. It covers diet basics and will answer most, if not all of your questions. If you have any specific questions after that, post away!

On the same idea, you may want to go to the training article archives as well. There's lots of excellent information on this site, it's not just a forum. ;)

Ok so for my weight and height my calorie intake per day as a male should be :

3702

My BMI is unfortunately :

33 = obese :(

So what do you guys think I should do? Lower my calorie intake to about 2000? for a good diet plan?

If u r planning to go from 3702 cals to 2000, it would be unhealthy. Just drop 500 and if you r not losing weight then drop another 200 and so on till you r losing a pound or 2 a week.
