Well, I haven't posted any in some time so I thought I might as well. Oh, and I figured out how to use the remote on my camera :) .

Now, I am pale, not very lean, and hairy. Consider yourself warned...

I do have pretty good size for a natural guy.

Holy hell! You are a f*ckin' beast! If you would cut you would be down right scary. So please don't, my ego wouldn't be able to handle that :)

Chris,
You DO look leaner, but no less pale or hairy ;) You've got an amazing physique there, something to be proud of.

By the way, that rear lat spead is rediculous.

Crap! You are right, except it was only 3 weeks. You see, due to a car wreck I had withered away to 98 lbs of flesh and bone. Thanks to AtLarge's products (you can buy them by clicking on the link above) I was able to surpass my previous bests in size and strength in only 3 weeks!!! I increased by major lifts by a minimum of 999% each.

:fart:

Just kidding!

chris what 2 businesses do you currently run?

chris mason
05-11-2004, 06:39 PM
I am co-owner of AtLarge with Hulk (Daniel). I also am the GSM (general sales manager) of a mid-sized Honda/Dodge dealership here in Charlottesville. As you can see, I am a busy man, but I consider myself to be very lucky. I am building a business related to my passion (training with weights), and I make a very nice living at the dealership.

just wondering- off topic, but what kinda work does a GSM do on a day-to-day basis? I.e. dealing with customers, business forcasts.. etc..

I can hardly begin to tell you it is so much (at least for me). I manage a sales staff of 14-16 reps, 2 sales managers, 1 internet manager and his rep, 3 lot porters, a clerk who helps to stock-in inventory and trade vehicles with other dealers, 2-3 receptionists, and 2 F&I managers. I deal with disgruntled customers. I "desk" deals (which is to say I work the numbers and will help to close customers if the sales rep cannot). I track the number of customers the dealership has daily from walk-in traffic, to phone calls, to internet prospects. As we are a Honda and Dodge location and I have a manger for each, I also handle our used cars (40-50 retail and another 50+ wholesale at any given time). I appraise trade-ins. I train sales reps, console them, try to motivate them, and occasionally have to babysit them. There is so much more, but I think you get the point. Oh, and yes, I deal with projections quarterly, and annually.

I am curious, why do you ask?

Justin, Ryuage, anyone else, feel free to come visit at the dealership if you are in the market for a vehicle. I would love to sell you all a vehicle and I promise that it would be the most pleasant car purchase of your life.

Justin, sorry you didn't know. I have mentioned it on the site several times, but it was probably a long time ago.

Everyone else, thanks for the compliments.

Webb, lol, that is a good idea! :swear:

He says 'What can I do to put you in this car TODAY?' over and over again.

Looking good Mr. Mason. I think you'd kick some tail if you decided to get on a stage.

I am actually quite surprised that some of you think I look bigger. I hadn't really noticed it myself. I have noticed a strength increase and I have gain 5 lbs or so without adding any fat.

I worked as a salesman for Sunnyvale VW for some time so I am farmiliar with the job of a GSM. When you listed out all your job duties you forgot to mention make huge bank and drive around a loaner :). Plus if you were at my dealership you could have added mack on the hot female salespeople.

Car sales is really something isn't it. Talk about an interesting experince. I don't really think there is anything quite like it and its funny how each person who gets into the business starts off thinking you can do it a different way and let every customer think everything over as long as they want and not be aggressive. Then you learn that there is one way to sell cars. It was quite an experience.

You look damn good Chris. Especially your back. In the back bouble-bi your lats, shoulders and bis all looked great and well proportioned. I just wished I could see your front. All that hair just gets in the way. :)
