I sort of think I have a better understanding now of nutrition, right now I want to cut and I have worked out with your help how much I should have, can u please check to see if this is cool?

12 x (my bodyweight) 175 lbs = 2100 calories per day

I plan to have six meals so

2100 / 6 = 350 calories per meal

My protein intake should be

175 (my bodyweight) x 1.5 = 262.5 grams per day

262.5 / 6 (meals) = 43.75 per meal

(4 calories to a gram of protein right?)

262.5 x 4 = 1050 calories of protein per day

This leaves me with another 1050 calories. How much of these should be from carbs and how much should be from fats?

Also, what is the best type of tuna, the tuna with the most protein because I eat John West Tuna and that only contains 27grams of protein, where I still need another 16.75 grams of protein. Does that seem right then the above, that 50 per cent of my calorie intake should be protein?

1g of protein per pound is enough - regardless, I'd split the carbs and fats evenly.

Tuna is tuna.

a popular way to split calories is using a 40/30/30 ratio of p/c/f. or something similar.

as paul said, tuna is tuna. just eat another can.

seeing that you're cutting..it would be a good idea to get the tuna packed in water, not oil.

kool.....this makes more sense

My protein intake should be

175 / 6 (meals) = 29.16 per meal

(4 calories to a gram of protein right?)

175 x 4 = 875 calories of protein per day

Protein= 875 cals per day

1225 calories left over / 2 =612.5 cals

carbs= 612.5 daily

612.5/6= 102.08 per meal

fats= 612.5

612.5/6= 102.08 per meal

wat are examples of clean starchy carbs, anyone got any links to that and essential fats?
