HI guys. I'm 16 and weigh 240lbs height is 5'11 I bench 300x1rep, but i think my squat and deadlift aren't quite in equilibrium with that. i do deadlifts in sets of 3 at 315 and squat 255x5reps(i'm relatively new to squats) so should i just jump to 275x3 if i can handle it?

oh yeah and how would you recommend "catching up with my size" on squats

So you have no idea what your maxes are on either the squat or deadlift?

Find out and then post. I think you might be suprised. Just be sure you have a spotter when you do the squats.

If anything weight lifting increases sexual drive. I dunno what fool told you that but he's probably 6'4" and 115 lbs.

Westside Concepts can be hard for some people to follow. If you have problems with the above link, then try these. They break things down a little simpler. BTW, you're numbers are great. I wish I had them when I was your age!

cjb, thanks alot for the link to testosterone. i enjoyed reading it. i think it's already pretty close to what i do already, exept i don't use 90% of my strength. how does useing 90% of your strength more than three weeks mess with your cns?

thanks ford perfect, just read what you reccomended and it was great. i have 4 weightlifting partners, and one tagalong idiot, two of which are serious about getting stronger, one who is my best friend and moderately into it(plus his friend), and there's also the tagalong who gets annoying.i'm going 45 miles away to live with the mother this summer and my best friend will be in the same suburb and with his dad. so i'll still have my original partner for the summer, also when we go back to school.it'll be a new weightroom, and not my good ol' school one.thanks for the compliment, i work really hard.

That's a rough guideline. Maximum muscular strain on your body is very stressful to your CNS (the brain and spinal cord). Simply put, your CNS is what makes your body work. Essentially, it sends the signals for your muscles to fire. If you continually put your muscles under maximal stress, it's only a matter of time before it will need a break. Your CNS may also adapt to the weight at that movement and you'll experience a plateau.

Remember, the best thing about WSB is that is just a rough template. As long as you follow the philosophy around ME/DE workouts, you can adapt it to fit your needs. If you're moving up in weight on your ME movements from week to week, stick with those movements.

yes! maxed out on deads and parallel squats today.

squat:315@1rep(probably coulda done 330 but didn't feel like pushing it as i'm new to squats)
dead lift:365@1rep(tried for 385 but hands were so tired i kept losing grip)
BTW i'm maxing out on bench friday and will try for 315. sitting at 300 right now.

The only thing you may notice is your wang mite get smalled during and after your workout for a little, because the blood is flowing too your muscles and not to the tissue in your wang.
