View Full Version : Hi Guys this is my Pops @ 58 yrs young
A few things he worked out some probably in the 70's and some in the 80's off and on. He got back into lifting when I joined the Army in 1992 and has kept with it fairly consistently.
He has Benched over 300 strict, can workout 180 or so behind the neck press
and has over 18 inch arms. Dad is 63 now and recently when I worked out with him he did 285 on bench and had been on a layoff. He's 5'8" and probably 215-220 in this its not really showing how big he is. Thanks Dad prob. won't see this, but I thought I would share it.

I hope I'm still lifting at that age. Cool pic.
Thanks Patty, I encourage him to keep it up now he lifts lighter and walks more you should see when he went on a cut.

Great pic. A lot of older people go to my gym, but none of them look like that, lol.

That's cool. There's a guy about that age in my gym who can OH press some decent weight. It's cool.
I consider myself strong and Dad can out lift me on over head press and skull crusher, you can't tell from that picture but his abs where pretty visible then. MIne were not even when I was skinny lol.

Thought I would run this back to the top since I saw a over thirties post. By the way not that anyone would think so I don't know maybe the would but Pops has never used any type of steriod.
Just thought I would bump for my old man. He had slowed down his lifting and cardio over the past year or so that had gotten him in better shape. Well at the beginning of the year he had a heart attack. Now he's back to walking and lifting light and a much healthier diet.

I'm only 10 years away and I've got a lot of growing still to do so I hope I'm that thick when I'm 58. Tell your dad,

i wonder if that 68 year old guy is as fit and healthy as the 20 year old body his heads resting on?
That would be awesome to not be a saggy weak frail old man at 70

That's awesome.
It just goes to show that you can achieve an impressive build at any age.
Thanks guys, the only trouble convincing him to go lighter since the heart trouble. He is eating alot healthier something I should do.
