okay i know this has been posted before but i couldn't find it. how long before creatine starts to convert/fully converts to creatinine, and how long for protein to go to wahtever it does? reason i ask is because i remember one of the two was pretty quick, adn i am wondering if it's breaking down in our bodies b4 digesting

Creatine is unstable in liquid form and becomes creatinine pretty quickly.

ya that's what i'm asking about... does anyone know how long?

Couple minutes I'm guessin'...unsure of the actual time. I've read as long as 5-10 minutes.

for creatine, i'd drink it as fast as its mixed. i've heard a half life of only 10 minutes, so its better to not premix

for protein, it depends on what protein it is, but most natural proteins will require high heat or acid/basic to break down. proteins are designed to be stable in many "room" conditions. but, it doesnt' even matter, since almost all proteins are broken down into amino acids in our stomach anyways

if i down a glass of creatine, how long before it is fully broken down by my stomach?

i don't know numbers, but i think it was a pretty high percentage that gets destroyed or converted into creatinine as it goes through our GI tract. thsi si why teh serving sizes are much higher than the maximum creatine we can store (we store 5g of creatine in our muscles, and most of us will take servings of >5g, several times a day). creatine is cheap if u know where to get it, so i wouldnt' worry about it

Most people I see take 5g or less, actually...unless they choose to load.

ya i only take 2 or 3 grams. so by that logic, i guess i would have to assume that if you take the creatine droppers under your tongue you're absorbing all of it because you're passing your stomach, so those people are getting much more than the powder crowd. i used to think it didn't matter what route you went becaue your muscles would hit a saturation point and after that it wouldn't matter, but now i wonder if mine are fully saturated

and that's not even considering the fact that by the time it's broken down, we've also digested an amount of creatinine, which is toxic (although i have no idea how much or what it's impacts are. anyone?)

WHOA, the creatine droppers? i hope ur not talking about the serum scam. the creatine droppers is creatine in solution... or WAS. remember how i said the half life of creatine in liquid was only 10 minutes? how long do u think those guys at the stores have them on display? creatine droppers are almost ALL creatinine, b/c almost all of it has been degraded since creatine has such a ashort half life. there was a lab report stating that creatine serum has almost 100% creatinine and 0% creatine.

the powder's the best way to go as of now, even tho most of it does not make it past our harsh GI tract.
