View Full Version : Creatine,whey- on off days

I usually workout 6 days a week so I was wondering whether or not I need to continue taking creatine on my off day. If not would I be ok taking just 2-3 grams instead of taking the 5. Right now I take it but why should I if there is no need. The same goes for whey. On days off should I take the same amount, or should I possibly take more seeing that it is an off day and I should be building muscle.

I suggest taking everything 7 days a week. 2 grams of creatine is fine every day, really no need for 5. It sounds to me like you don't have a set diet since not taking whey could mess up your cals and macros.

I have a set diet of 1gr of protein per pound of bodyweight, but I mainly use whey as a pre and post workout shake. I eat healthy so I was just wondering if I could save money in case I didn't need whey.

Sure, you could save money. But wouldn't you need protein from another source to make up for the lack of protein and cals that you would normally get pre and post-workout?
