I haven't sold a car, but I hear autotrader.com is a good place to put one up.

all my friends love autotrader.com
personally I dislike it. I think the layout sucks, and the searchability is just awful.
Yahoo classifieds destroys it, unfortunately everyone and their mother lists their stuff on autotrader for who knows what reasons

I agree with the layout not being all that great, but one of the reasons it's a good place to put it, is the coverage. They will let you list your car in their book (for a small fee, I think), which you can find in just about every supermarket. You can keep the listing in there until the car is sold.

The layout and searchablity is pretty good on autotrader.ca. Theres a diverse range of cars to go with and costs are next to none so i wont complain.

I agree autotrader.com can be used for both simple and weird reasons by buyers and sellers alike. Trader.com magazine is definitely bigger with bigger cars and trucks throughout even in the back pages.

well, was looking for the most publicized type site to get maximum exposure... found a couple but I went ahead with autotrader.com seeing as how I get an online ad as well as in their mag not to mention they have comerrcials running all the time so hopefully * crosses fingers *

Just put in the newspaper. Not everything was to go to the net.

autotrader puts it in the local magazine as well as the internet, if it doesn't sell I will probably resort to the local newspaper but I doubt many people look at it compared to the auto trader magazine circled between a large portion of the nc area.

I think your very mistaken. The first place people look is the local paper. who wants to travel, if theres one two blocks over.
I've looked at autotrader, if its laying around. But everything I have ever bought has been out of the paper. Look in theres tons of stuff.
