I was wondering if there were ways to lower the amount of mercury content in your body. I love eating sushi but am concerned about mercury poisoning. I have heard though that seaweed and selenium both help to lower the mercury content in the body that is why asian people dont have mercury poisoning.

You'd have to consume an ocean full of fish to get levels high enough to be considered a poisoning I would think. Your best bet....avoid sharks and don't eat your mercury thermometer.

well my approach to nutrition is based on natural medicine so I would say

CLEANSE

there are heavy metal cleanse's out there

Renew Life makes a good one...

if you are really worried about it you could get chelation therapy done and have some ETDA used

it was used to cure lead poisoning in the 50's and is great for eliminating all kinds of metals

I have helped some skinny guys gain weight by doing the parasite cleanse

I know some naturopathic Dr's that swear everyone has *some* parasites
