The soduim content in that stuff is crazy but besides that I don't think there's anything else bad in it. Is it commerical Jerky or the real stuff?

i believe, also, that jerky has a lot of nitrites and other preservative which are very bad for you.

Like the others have said, it's high in sodium and contains other preservatives which aren't so great for you. In moderation it is fine I would think. Remember there are better food choices that are more filling, more nutritious, and less expensive.

There are plenty of websites that explain how to make it on your own using an oven. Doesn't even have to be a fancy new one with a dehydrate setting like mine.

I make my own.... its my favorite snack of all time. Always will be.
The store boughten stuff is high in sodium... insanely high. But my homemade stuff isn't. :D

Ja man, it's a really purty Jenn-Air.
I haven't actually used it yet (the dehydrate part). I bought the flank steak to make the jerky, I've just been lazy and haven't gotten a good recipe to marinade it in yet.
