New Routine!
My training routine can be found here (http://www.blue-aura.co.uk/training/) with most of the exercises linked to ExRS or ABC so you can maintain form if you decide to follow it. Also nice to keep them handy.

My Current Stats are:

Chest: 39"
Waist: 31 7/8"
Neck: 15"

R Bicep: 12 2/8"
L Thigh: 19"
R Thigh: 19 2/8"

My goals are to gain at least 20lbs in the next 6 weeks while maintaining my bf which is around 15-16% *cough*... it's actually 18.3% - Measured 10th June

AMMENDMENTS:

Thanks mate, out of interest what are your present stats so I have something to look forward to in a few years time.

Today is friday so lets get going..

Barbell Military Press 8,7,5 @ 44 lbs
Front Raises 8,8,7 @ 11 lbs
Side Lateral Raises 8,8,7 @ 5.5 lbs
Upright Dumbell rows 8,8,8 @ 27.5 lbs
Barbell Shrugs 8,8,8 @ 110 lbs
Dumbell Shrugs 8,8,8 @ 18.7 lbs
Squats 8,8,8 @ 44 lbs (need a squat rack before I try the big numbers)

And I didn't have time for the rest, far too long. I'll have to try and sort this out.

Got a slight niggle on my left brachioradialis which a support bandage has sorted for now and a clicking in my left shoulder. After training though the brachioradialis is as tight as a <insert word here> I hope it just needs some R&R.

Taking it easy for the first two weeks just to get my muscles used to the strain then I'll start going for max reps.

Deadlift - 6,6@167lbs
Bent Knee Good-Mornings (6@22lbs), 8,10@44lbs
Barbell Rows (4@44lbs), 6,6@88lbs (only made 6 on the last)
Dumbell Curls 6,8@18.7lbs
Chins 10,10@BW

Feel good, no injuries sustained today and the full NEW Monday workout was completed, very intense.

Stick with it and those numbers will sky rocket. The 20lbs in 6 weeks while keeping the same body fat might be a bit more difficult, though! :D

We'll see. I'll give it my best!

Thanks Justin and Anthony for your support :D

Not looking forward to squats today, not my favorite exercise. Maybe because I don't feel too safe doing them and its scary when you load them up with a fair weight. I dunno, Mybe I need a rack?

Tuesday - Quads, Hams, Traps

Squats (4@44lbs) 6@55lbs, 8@60.2lbs - Really need to use a propper full squat rack!
Shrugs (1@60.2lbs) 8@88lbs,132lbs
Leg Curls 8@44lbs,55lbs
Leg Extensions 8@55lbs, 10@66lbs

I'm at work tonight (a lot of walking involved), should be fun ;)

Do you workout at home? You could try some hack squats and/or some dumbell lunges as an alternative to standard squats.

Good luck, you've set yourself quite a difficult goal there :p

I think it is great that you translate the weights you are using (we are spoiled over here in the states)...good luck with it all, I wish you the best and hope you stick around!

BlueAura

Ah no problem. lbs = kg x 2.2... easy. Pounds are better, looks bigger :D

Yeah I workout at home at the moment, I'll try Hack Squats and see if they are any better.

As for my goal... I like a challenge

That's no way to spend a rest day! ;)

Today before I do anything I want to measure my body fat so i can compare before and after. Note: I am bulking, well trying :)

It's official I am a PORKER! ;)

BF = 18.3%
Fat = 28.7lbs (thats some lard to loose when I cut)

Using the bodyfat calc spreadsheet (http://www.wannabebigforums.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=493036&highlight=jacksonpollock#post493036)

Anyhow back to Chest and Tri's

Flat Bench Press (4@77lbs) 5,3,2@77lbs (only made 3 on the second so I did another set i'll take off 5kg next time)
Dips 10,10@BW
Tricep Extensions 8,8@18.7lbs
Dumbell Flys 8,8@44lbs each

Really got to do something about the weight I'm lifting... before my stupid 8 month lazyness I could do nearly my body weight on bench press.

Great workout, best one yet. Feel good. Thats got to be the best thing about exercise no matter what type you always feel good after no matter how hard it was.

Jezmason

I'd put flyes after bb bench press and add another chest excersise, incline db press maybe? Also add another tricep excersise such as pushdowns or close grip bench press....but thats only my opinion....

BlueAura
06-10-2004, 11:24 AM
Yeah it was short but very hard going. I'll consider adding close grip and incline db press

Jezmason

Also, drop the weight so you can do a set number of reps on each set(and so u fail on the last rep on the last set). If my number of reps drops each set its only because ive raised the weight for the set

BlueAura
06-11-2004, 03:44 AM
Shoulder Press 8,8@44lbs
Lat Raise 8,8,8@7.7lbs
Bent Arm Dumbell Pullover (4@22lbs) 4@22lbs, 6@22lbs
Weighted Calf Raise 12,12@22lbs
Crunches 12,12,12

Got a back problem not good :(

TheGimp

How'd you get the back problem? Is it serious? :(

BlueAura
06-13-2004, 03:36 AM
Deads I think, could be disc problem or ligument damage. Augury said to give it a few weeks and see how it is. Rest and heat/cold treatments, iboprofen and just keeping it mobile.

TheGimp

Hope you make a speedy recovery.

Back is being cut out and any lifts intensive on the back or making me bend it... especially no floor lifts.

Just biceps today :(

Injury Status: Hayfever and my back injury are not a good combo. Every time I sneeze it hurt like hell. It's not feeling much better yet.

Coke

Damn bro, those injuries are so common...hope it is not too serious.

BlueAura

Hopefully back to training tomorrow, just leaving out all back for a few more weeks. Its getting there, feels much better than before I can now sneeze without squealing like a girl :D

I think my bulking is going the other way. I believe I've lost a few pounds :omg:

This whole week won't be proper training so I won't bother posting how it all goes. Just very light sets on the compound lifts so I don't stress or strain my back at all. All being well next week will be the week of progression.

Not only have I taken this week lighter than usual I've mixed the days around a little. Did arms to day. Their not big but they feel it :D so I must be doing something right.

My last exam is on Monday - Cosmology. Whoa, Yay! Then I have to wait till August 19th for results. Then on Friday I have my driving test which has got me more nervous than my A-Levels.

Not looking too shabby, definitely a decent base to build upon. Good luck with your exam and driving test!

Exams over and back is feeling fine. Back to pumping iron ;) . Just wait my friend... just you wait.

I see little point posting weight aswell as reps at this stage. I have my first week as a basis to work on and compare against, I'll only post the big three.

My life is hell at the moment, I've got a new job. I'll be earning in a day what I'd earn on average in a week doing my old job but its hard work plus I have t work my two weeks notice on the other one aswell. Here's todays schedule... Up at 06:30, force some food down my throat. 08:45 travel to train station, 09:14 get one train, 09:45 get to nottingham. 10:00 start work (no breaks, no time), 16:00 finish work and walk very fast to the train station (maybe grab some food if I have time), 16:25 get on train, 16:53 train gets in if I'm lucky on time, 17:08 get home and get washed and showered, 17:20 go to old job, 21:00 finally finish...... 21:10 eat then sleep.

Basically I have no time for training, eating, or sufficient rest... thank god it's only for two weeks. I'm not a happy bunny at the moment, I don't have time! My legs hurt from leg day last week still because I've been running around since then like an idiot.

Moan moan moan f*^# s"*^ p*& c^%# :soapbox: :alcoholic
