Is this ok to eat on a cutting diet?

2 cans of tuna
1 small spoon of mayo
3 slices of american cheese
i whole pita


Mix the mayo with the two cans of tuna
cut the pita in half
put 1 and a half slices of cheese in each pita
then fill each with tuna
micro for 35 seconds

sounds like a bulk meal to mee. However, it that is the heaviest in calories meal for the day then I would say it is not that bad.

I don't like the fact that it mixes carbs and fats in the same meal.

Well there isnt that many carbs in it. And the mayo could be changed to fat free. The majority of it is portien. Over 80 grams in it. The pita is zero fat

What kind of pita doesn't have very many carbs?

It is a thin pita. zero fat and I think 20 grams of carbs.

cheese tends to carry a good chunk of fat in it. Which is ok, unfortunately most cheeses are mostly full of saturated fat, and 3 slices per day might screw up your intake.
20% of fat from saturated sources is a goal I shoot for and if your only taking in 80g of fat in a day thats 16g of sat fat...
Try to find fat free cheese if possible.

In a meal that contains fat, I wouldn't go over 10g of carbs. A lot of people don't buy into the don't mix carbs with fat theory, but I do.

Maybe I will try to find a fat free cheese. That will make the difference on this meal.

Ok this meal has a total of 9 saturated fat. And about 85 protein. Around 30 carbs. How is that for cutting. This is with regular american cheese. It would get alot better with fat free cheese

That's an awful lot of protein for one meal. How much are you having in total for the day?

Go for lite mayo and low fat cheese. Perhaps cut the pita in half and make it two meals? :) That would offer less satisfaction but would help spread the food over the day.

That means you're having close to half of your daily intake in one meal. I'd try to spread that out over at least 4 meals...the more, the better.

Yeah thats true I might to split it up into two meals. So about 40 g per. Seems more reasonable

That meal looks just fine to me.
